Agent status

The mark on an agent's tile that says whether it is working, waiting on you or done.

Where Sidebar › Agents 1 min read

How it works

  1. Each tab's tile carries a small mark on its corner. Violet means something for you, green means nothing to do, and a turning ring means the agent is active:
    • Violet ring: the agent is waiting on you, for an answer or a permission.
    • Violet dot: it has finished and you have not seen the result yet.
    • Green ring: it is working.
    • Green dot: it is running with nothing for you.
    • Red dot: the session ended with an error. Start it again to clear it.
  2. Point at a mark to read its state in a word.
  3. Each other workspace's tile on the rail shows the mark of its most pressing tab, so you can see where you are needed.
  4. When the sidebar shows a view's own list, such as git's, the tabs waiting on you sit as tiles at its foot. Press one to go to it.

Good to know

  • Built-in agents report what they are doing themselves. To turn that off for one, open its Options in Settings › Agents and turn off Report status on the Origami page. Its state is then guessed from how quiet its terminal is.
  • Antigravity has to be set up once, with Set up on that same page. Grok reports through its terminal's title alone, with no switch.
