Notifications

A word from Origami when an agent needs you or has made something for you.

Where Titlebar › Notifications 1 min read

How it works

  1. When an agent is waiting on you, or has finished, while you are elsewhere, Origami sends a system notification. Click it to go to the tab.
  2. When an agent makes something for you in the workspace you are in, a toast says so with an Open button: an artifact created or updated, a card created, a review comment, or a reply to your comment or annotation.
  3. When an agent hands you a browser page to deal with, such as a login, a toast says "A page needs you" with Go to page.
  4. One toast shows at a time and goes away by itself. What still needs you, or went wrong, moves to the bell in the titlebar, which turns teal.
  5. Press the bell to see every workspace's notifications, sorted into Updates, Errors, From agents and Other. Clear closes all but the updates.

Good to know

  • Turn either kind off in Settings › Agents, under Notifications: Notify when waiting for the system notifications, and Show what agents make for the toasts.
  • The app's icon counts the tabs waiting for you, and bounces once when an agent needs an answer while you are elsewhere.
  • Several things of one kind become one toast with a count.
  • Closing an update in the bell skips that release.
