How it works
- Choose the agent that answers in Settings › Agents, under Unfold. Only built-in agents are offered.
- In a running terminal, press ⌘R. You can also right-click the terminal and choose Unfold, or press the Unfold tile on the terminal's dock.
- Type what you want in plain words, such as "re-encode this video at half the size", and press Enter.
- The agent answers with one shell command, which is pasted onto your prompt. Read it, change it if you like, and press Enter yourself to run it.
Good to know
- The agent runs in your login shell, in the terminal's working directory and with the workspace's environment, so your paths, aliases and variables are all in play.
- Nothing runs until you press Enter: the command only ever arrives as pasted text.
- With no agent chosen yet, opening Unfold takes you to Settings › Agents instead.
- Of the agent's options, Unfold uses only its model and how hard it thinks.
- It is for terminal tabs only, not agents or commands. Esc closes the bar.
