How it works
- Press the Terminals section's name and choose Add terminal. Give it a name and, if you like, a Launch command to run first and a Working directory other than the workspace's folder.
- The terminal starts at once, in your System shell with the workspace's environment variables. A launch command runs, then leaves you in the shell.
- Rest the pointer on a running tab and a dock slides out from its right edge: its CPU and RAM, Unfold, Stop, and in a git folder, the worktree and branch pickers.
- Press ⌘K to clear the terminal.
Good to know
- A stopped terminal shows its own page: what it would run, where, and Start and Edit.
- A shell that exits keeps what it printed last on screen, with Start again and Hide output on its dock.
- Turn on Auto-start on launch in its edit dialog and it starts whenever Origami opens.
- Agents can open terminals, type into them and read what they print through the MCP server.
