Models
The model a loop runs, how hard it thinks, how fast it runs, and which agent runs it.

How it works
- The model is at the foot of the message box, or type
/model. Its sheet has a search, the current models over the Earlier ones, and their makers' marks. - Press the star on a row to pin it. The star at the sheet's foot lists every agent's pinned models.
- Beside the model, two glyphs set Effort and Speed (Standard or Fast) where the model has them. Effort carries over to a new model that has it.
- The sheet's foot has a mark for each installed agent. Picking another agent's model hands the loop to it, marked Handed to on the page; your next message tells it the conversation so far.
Good to know
- A workspace's next new loop starts with the agent, model, effort, speed and mode last set in its loops.
- A new workspace starts from the defaults in Settings › Loops. Until you pick a model there, Claude Code starts on Sonnet 5.5 at medium effort where your account has it.
- A loop can only be handed over while no turn is running.
- Where your account cannot run fast, Speed stays Standard and the menu says why. GitHub Copilot has no speed to set.
- Only models the agent offers your account are listed; an agent still reading them shows as loading.
