Agents
A coding agent running in a tab of its own, in the workspace's folder.

How it works
- Press the Agents section's name and choose Add existing agent, then pick one. Its tab is added stopped.
- Press ⌘⏎, or Start on its page, and the agent starts in the workspace's folder. ⌘⇧⏎ stops it.
- Origami comes with Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, Antigravity, Grok and Pi built in. Each starts the agent's own command line tool, so it needs to be installed.
- For an agent of your own, choose Create custom agent in the same menu and give it a name and the command that starts it.
Good to know
- Each row shows its agent's mark. A custom agent that starts Claude Code or another known agent gets that agent's mark too.
- The mark also says what the agent is doing: see Agent status.
- Settings › Agents lists every agent. Built-in ones can be turned off but not removed; built-ins also have Options for what they are told as they start. See Agent options.
