Epics

How it works

1. Make a card and set its kind to Epic, or change an existing card's kind from the tile on its page.
2. Make the epic another card's parent, with that card's parent pill. A card belongs to the nearest epic above it, so a task under a story under an epic is the epic's too.
3. Narrow the board to one epic from the Epic field under the search, which opens the epics on the command palette, newest first. Its tile clears it again.
4. Switch the layout to Epic to see each epic as a lane across the statuses, with how much of it is complete. Cards with no epic share a No epic lane.

Good to know

• Epics are not on the Board layout, since they organise work rather than move through it. Filter by Type › Epic to see them there.
• In the Epic layout, drag a card along its lane to change its status.
• List shows each epic with everything that sits under it.
