Agent updates

A toast that tells you when a newer release of one of your built-in agents is out, and updates it for you.

Where Settings › Agents 1 min read

How it works

  1. Origami checks the built-in agents you have enabled when it opens, and again every hour.
  2. When a newer release of one is out, a toast names the agent and its new release, with the release you have installed under it.
  3. Press Update on the toast. It shows Updating while the update runs, and cannot be closed until it is done.
  4. When it finishes, the toast says which release you now have and goes away. If the update fails, it says so, and Details shows what went wrong.

Good to know

  • Close the toast and you are not told about that release again. The next release brings a new toast.
  • Settings › Agents shows each built-in agent's installed release, and "available" beside it when there is a newer one, with its own Update button. Updating there takes the toast down.
  • Updates run one at a time.
  • Agents you added yourself, and agents you have turned off, are never checked.
