Command palette

A search box for everything Origami can do, with a second one for jumping between tabs.

Keys ⌘⇧P 1 min read

How it works

  1. Press ⌘⇧P to open the command palette. Type to search the actions for the workspace you are in: add a tab, start or stop one, open git, the board or the artifacts, switch workspace, and more.
  2. Press ⌘P instead for the tab list: every tab and open loop of every workspace, under its workspace's name. Pick one to go straight to it.
  3. Move with the arrow keys and press Enter to run a row. A row whose name ends in "..." opens a page of its own, such as Settings... or Switch to workspace..., and the page you are on shows as a path before the search.
  4. Press Backspace in an empty search to go back a page, or Esc to close the palette.

Good to know

  • Other parts of the app open the palette on a list of their own when it is too long for a menu: filing an artifact in a group, choosing a card's parent or an epic, finding a loop, or picking the branch a loop's worktree starts from. Search it and press Enter.
  • Some can also make what you type when nothing matches, such as a new group.
  • Files opens a file in Files; Loops lists loops, closed ones too.
  • Keyboard shortcuts opens the full list of keys.
