Browsers

A real browser in a tab, beside your code, for you and your agents.

Where Sidebar › Browsers › Add browser Agents use it 1 min read

How it works

  1. Press the Browsers section's name and choose Add browser, then give it a name and a URL. It opens at once.
  2. Under Sharing, choose whom it shares cookies and sign-ins with: Origami, every browser; Workspace, this workspace's browsers; Browser, none; or Incognito, which keeps nothing once it stops.
  3. Its toolbar has back, forward, reload, home and zoom, an address bar, and developer tools. Set as home makes the page you are on its start page.
  4. While a browser has the keyboard, ⌘R reloads, ⌘⇧R pressed twice reloads with the site's data, cache and cookies cleared, ⌘+ and ⌘− zoom, ⌘0 resets the zoom, and ⌥⌘I opens developer tools.
  5. Agents use the same tab through the MCP server: they read the page, click, type, take screenshots, and read the console and network log.

Good to know

  • A login survives a restart. A browser not shared with all of Origami shows its choice when you point at its row.
  • Removing a browser that keeps its own data forgets it, and removing a workspace forgets its browsers' shared data.
  • When a page needs you, for a login or a captcha, an agent hands it over: the tab shows Waiting for you with the reason, and Continue hands it back.
  • Browsers are not available on Linux.
